Description: With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations. In order to use this, the user must prepare for it in the previous post.

Water Release Techniques

Jutsu Name: Discharge Lightning Calamity Technique

Description: A Collaboration Techniques used by a Water Release user and Lightning Release user. The Water Release user creates a large puddle of water through which the Lightning Release user electrocutes the opponent, causing an explosion. A user who is skilled enough to perform both elemental affinities at once may use this without the need for another shinobi.

Jutsu Name: Hidden Mist Technique

Description: This displacement technique is a speciality of the ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu. Being as though the Mist is stagnant once it is brought onto the field, it does not require constant chakra channelization and is not expellable unless by the use of a universal technique that dispels it, or is canceled by the user.

Description: This technique will summon a large amount of water that will then be used to strike at the opponent in several versatile ways. Shizuku has been known to transform it into a dragon with a gaping mouth to attack. The water used will be stationary till it is sent offensively toward the opponent. However, Shizuku has been shown to be able to perform this technique only with the help of Yomi's Strengthening Prescription: Chakra Injection, suggesting that this is an advanced elemental ninjutsu. A skilled elemental user can use this technique at an A-Rank variation to produce the water from thin air, but it also increases its water production level to fourty feet worthy of water in length and width.

Description: Using this technique, Haku gathers some water from the air and surrounding environment into one thousand long needles. He then directs them to a specific target at high speed, leaping backwards before impact so he doesn't get caught in the crossfire. While the needles do surround a target from all sides, they don't appear above the target, creating an escape route. Haku is able to perform this jutsu with one-handed seals, allowing him to pin an opponent's arm and attack while they cannot use any techniques themselves.

Description: A stronger version of the Water Release: Water Shark Bullet Technique, where the user creates a gigantic shark out of water and, by thrusting both hands forward, sends it to attack the opponent. This technique differs from the original in that it is able to absorb the chakra from an opponent's technique and in turn, use that chakra to grow larger and more powerful. Therefore, the stronger the opponent's technique is, the stronger this technique will get.

Description: This technique is a larger version of the Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave. With it, the user spews out a massive amount of water, covering an entire area with crushing, unavoidable waves. The water then forms into a giant orb, instead of letting it flow freely like the original. With this, Kisame can use his Water Prison Shark Dance Technique.

Description: After using the Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave and fusing with Samehada, Kisame Hoshigaki acts as the centre of the resultant giant dome of water. Once this technique has been activated, the dome alters its position in order to reflect the direction of his movements, making it difficult for his target to escape as long as he continues his pursuit. This technique provides Kisame a tremendous field advantage, as his fused form grants him the ability to breathe and freely move underwater, while his target continues to drown as they attempt to futilely escape the large body of water. This technique is extremely effective in one on one fights, but the user would probably not be able to contain two enemies fleeing in opposite directions.

Description: The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creates clones out of water that have one-tenth of the original person's power. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.

Description: Kisame creates an orb of water that releases countless water sharks that rapidly assault the opponent. If the orb is released underwater, the strength of the sharks is greatly enhanced and all of them colliding with the target will result in an enourmous implosion. Countless, meaning not necessarily an unlimited amount of sharks, though as an example - if there were to be a lake roughly the size of 100 ft; 40 feet of that 100 foot radius would be then converted into sharks with an estimated number totalling around fifty to eighty.

Description: A secret technique of Takigakure that allows the user to manipulate water into the form of a sword. This sword is also shown to be very resilient as it is able to withstand and cut through most Fire Release techniques being as though it is primarily made up of the users chakra and controlled by it as such. (Up to C-Rank it will disperse the fire and create an opening wide enough for the user to escape).

Lightning Release Techniques

Jutsu Name: Lightning Cutter
Rank: S
Range: Self to Long Range (60 feet if used with a projectile)
Element: Lightning
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: Kakashi split a bolt of lightning with it. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Cutter requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Cutter is more focused and blue. In Part I, Kakashi is limited to using it four times in one day, but by Part II, he can use it at least six times in one day.

Kakashi has shown different ways of forming and using the Lightning Cutter. During his confrontation with Orochimaru in Part I, he creates it without using hand seals. In Part II, he is able to form a Lightning Cutter in both of his hands to counteract Kakuzu's Lightning Release: False Darkness.

Kakashi later demonstrated the ability to imbue a projectile weapon, such as a kunai, with his Lightning Cutter, granting the technique long-range capabilities. In this instance, the kunai was capable of piercing through multiple large rocks with ease, without any loss of momentum or change in trajectory.

Description: This technique allows the user to make a shadow clone infused with lightning. Because it is a shadow clone, it is able to perform techniques and interact with the environment due to it having physical substance; and also evenly distributes the user's chakra to each clone. If the clone is injured, it will revert to its natural lightning-state, at the same time electrocuting whatever it is touching.

Description: The user releases a current of purplish lightning from their hands forward, damaging and knocking away enemies. This technique is similar to Chidori Current as they both have the effect of shooting lightning currents at their opponent. Its range, unlike that of Chidori Current, is much smaller.

Description: This technique allows the user to create a wave of electricity from their hands. The user can vary its power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water technique.

Description: The user generates a large amount of lightning from their hands, which can also be passed through conductive materials to improve the electrical power of the technique, to attack foes. If used with water, the lightning from the jutsu uses the water as a conductant and amplifies in power, upgrading the damage level to that of a B-Rank, though still requiring the C-Rank chakra level in the initial stage of activation.

Advanced Ninjutsu

Jutsu Name: Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique

Range: Eighty feet until cutting power dissipates and renders shuriken useless.
Element: N/A
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: The user creates a thousand shadow clones from one shuriken, striking down the enemy. This is a technique that combines ninja tools with ninjutsu. Compared to normal shadow clones, clones of material objects are said to be on a far higher level. There is no need for preparations beforehand, like stocking up on shuriken, yet since the shadow clones are real and not illusions, all the shadow blades that fly around are equally lethal. Because the clones form in just an instant, completely evading them is next to impossible. However, only a maximum of one-hundred shuriken can be generated or copied at one time.

Description: As the name suggests, this technique is simply a very quiet method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user moves silently, it cannot be defended against, because the attack cannot be anticipated. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away. The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist are shown to be masters of this technique, and were even good enough to track and kill opponents through sound alone. Some shinobi also opt to use a cover such as mist or even frost to rob their opponents of their field of vision and then attack them.

Medical Ninjutsu

Jutsu Name: Mystical Palm Technique
Rank: A
Range: Self to close-range.

Type: Medical Ninjutsu, Ninjutsu
Description: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. Kabuto demonstrated the ability to use it a short distance away from the target instead of through direct contact.

By sending an excess amount of chakra into the patient's body, the user can overload the patient's normal circulation, trapping them in a comatose state. Although this is usually undesirable, Kabuto once effectively used this side effect to get Kiba Inuzuka out of his way. In Konoha, medical-nin seem to learn this technique by practising with fish.

Jutsu Name: Chakra Scalpel

Description: This medical technique forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the chakra scalpel can actually make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection.
The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the chakra scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.

Adding to the technique's blade like quality, it also appears to give the user an increased level of durability over their chakra clad hands. Using this, Kabuto was was able to clash with Sasuke's Sword of Kusanagi while in the hands of Itachi.

In Part II though, Kabuto's skill with this technique was enough to cut through wood and flesh with ease.

Jutsu Name: Crippling Wound Poison

Description: This is a unique type of poison created by Sameonna. It was created by utilizing curare, a rare and devious plant, as an example of a non-depolarizing muscle relaxant. This causes it to block the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR), one of the two types of acetylcholine (ACh) receptors, at the neuromuscular junction. The main toxin of curare, d-tubocurarine, occupies the same position on the receptor as ACh with an equal or greater affinity, and elicits no response, making it a competitive antagonist, causing the opponents body part effected to be reduced to complete immobolization or uselessness. In addition to its anesthesiac effects on the muscle system, due to the entirety of the system potentially collapsing, it causes future poisons to rush through the blood circulatory system at a quickened rate, speeding up the process in which it would normally take on. Using Simple Poison as an example; the technique virtually takes up to three posts to take effect. However, if this poison was administered prior to the use of Simple Poison, it would only take two posts and dramatically enhance the pain created by the poison, or any other type of poison.

Jutsu Name: Blade of Wind Barrage

Description: Baki covers his hands with the Blade of Wind, delivers a barrage of punches to the opponent, and then finishes them off with an uppercut which creates a large gust of wind throwing the opponent into the air.

Kenjutsu/Weaponry Techniques

Jutsu Name: Iaidō
Rank: A
Range: Self to close-range or length/width of blade being used.
Element: N/A
Type: Weaponry, Kenjutsu
Description: The term Iaidō (居合道) refers to a specific style of kenjutsu that is concerned with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. The linear motion and force applied to draw the sword from its scabbard result in much faster slashes than ones realised with the sword already drawn.

The speed at which these techniques can be executed — the initial strike in particular — is such, that when performed by a skilled user, it can prevent enemy shinobi from forming hand seals (and thus ninjutsu), by exploiting the small opening that these movements create. This makes them highly effective against most shinobi and potentially, those of even Hanzō's calibre, if performed by one who has mastered the style, such as Mifune.
