| Terumi, Ryo -General Information- Name: Ryo Terumi Nickname: Usually goes by Ryo Gender: Male Age: 19 Appearance/Clothing: Face: Ryo has short, navy hair, that frames his slightly tan skin. Although he thinks that he is tan, the people among him remind him that he is quite pale. His dark blue eyes complement his hair, and some even think that his eyes match his hair perfectly. Underneath his deep eyes lies his plain nose, which is quite small, and beneath that lies his chiseled jawline. Although his face is of average size, his chin comes down into a slight point. People sometimes believe he may have skin marks underneath his hair, but his pale skin shows no differentiation, and these are often easily mistaken by his dark hair and shadows from the scorching sun. Clothing: Unmistakable from any other person is Ryo’s wardrobe. He is always seen with his white coat, complete with navy trim along all of the seams, a silver double zipper that runs from his sternum down the full length of the coat to his knees, and grey stitching along all of the seams. This high collar coat comes close to Ryo’s face, however, his pale skin is always visible, reaching just above the collar’s grasp. Underneath his famous coat lies a light blue woven turtle neck that mimics the color of the skies above Athra. Patterned with small vertical stripes, this tunic light wear is flexible and allows for a lot of movement underneath his coat. Covering his legs, Ryo wears dark navy blue pants made of a hearty durable fabric from around Athra. Along his sides are many pockets stitched into his pants, to allow for ample storage of scrolls, kunai knives, or shuriken. To hold up the weight of all of his items contained in his pants, Ryo wears a leather belt with a large silver buckle, plated with the symbol of his kekkai genkai, the triple whirlpool. To cover his feet, he wears some light shoes that are quite agile, colored the same as his trousers. Body: Ryo keeps himself well conditioned, especially in a climate that is scorching hot. His muscles are well toned and are sculpted well into his body. Surprisingly, Ryo has no tan lines, which one might be confused with in such a scorching sunny environment, but Ryo keeps himself bundled up very well. Ryo skin is a pale tone, with no differentiation from the color throughout his body. While Ryo has never been scarred, through work or battle, he does have a tattoo on his upper left arm. That tattoo is the symbol of the clan that his kekkai genkai is from. Colored in navy blue, just like his hair, the triple whirlpool is very symbolic to the Terumi clan. The three whirlpools represent the three basic chakra natures that make up the clan, and the center where they combine represents balance within a shinobi. Personality: When it comes to matters of the people he respects, his tribe, or clan members within his tribe, Ryo becomes very serious. Ryo was raised knowing that in the desert, if the tribe didn't come together in times of hardship, they would be blown away like grains of sand. Because of this, Ryo is quite driven, and will work tirelessly for his friends, clan, and tribe. He has a deep respect for his fellow tribesmen, especially those who want to achieve their goals. If someone one works hard towards their dreams, Ryo will do whatever it takes to help them, and often puts these goals before his own. Helpful and outgoing, Ryo constantly strives to be recognized as someone who puts others before himself. For his young age, Ryo is quite intelligent. Ryo is able to quickly pick up on subtle details that others would simply look over or ignore. Using this talent, makes him fearsome in battle. Coming from an adopted clan who hails at copying techniques, Ryo is able to quickly analyze techniques, and while not being able to completely copy them, he can break them apart within a short amount of time. However, he often yields and takes advice from elders and others before making any decision. He truly respects the various clan and tribe heads, and tries to avoid conflict wherever possible. Among friends, Ryo is very lighthearted, and tries to separate his personal life from his work. When walking through the village, he is very talkative and likes to visit with the people he meets. He enjoys meeting the people he puts his life on the line for every day. He enjoys getting away from the main buildings of the village and walk among throughout the other buildings, often times scheduling hours to simply enjoy Athra as his home, and while Athra is a humble village of clay and sand, Ryo can see the potential throughout the city. As a tribal leader, it is his job to constantly improve the village, but he takes this to a whole new level. Seeing the potential in his fellow ninja is one of the main reasons he hopes to help them achieve their goals. Seeing people reach their full potential and flourish as shinobi always brings a smile to Ryo’s face. From his upbringing, Ryo has seen the importance of water, and by training this element, he now loves it. Ryo enjoys swimming, water games and sports, and even rain showers, since it rarely happens in Athra. Although it may seem odd a water loving shinobi lives in a desert, it complements Ryo’s potential seeing qualities well. He hopes that one day he can bring water into the desert, and turn Athra into an oasis paradise in the middle of a scorching desert. In addition to water, and jutsu involving his other elements, he also admires the importance of proper training. In Athra, it is emphasized to be balanced in physical, jutsu, and mental training, and he strongly encourages his clans and their members to train alongside him and their clan heads. On the other hand, Ryo hates unnecessary fights and battles, and will try to avoid conflict and arguments where possible. Ryo aims for a world where peace and diplomacy can come before hatred and violence, the same two forces that broke apart his bloodline clan. In order to achieve this, Ryo aims for compromise above all. He feels that in order to achieve solutions, both parties must give a little. Don't take Ryo's pacifistic nature to mean that he is weak. He is feared on the battlefield, and will only do what is necessary for his tribe. When his hand is forced, he himself will go to the front lines in order to protect is oasis in the desert. -Tribe Information- Tribe: Athra Rank: S-Rank, Athra Tribe Leader Elements: Earth (Affinity), Fire, Water, Advanced Elements: Lava, Boil *Will balance with flaws or lack of specialties in KKG page* Specialties:Speed (Level 5), Fuuinjutsu (Level 5), Jutsu Learner (Level 3). Extras: High Intelligence Flaws: .Clan Information. KKG: TerumiClan: Uchiha (Adopted Clan) History:- Spoiler:
At a very young age, before Ryo can ever remember, he was adopted as a member of the Uchiha clan from wandering travelers. He was raised in Athra, and was brought up to be a shinobi. Although the Uchiha emphasized fire as their primary element, Ryo’s affinity was clearly water, and he began to train at the young age of 6 years. He easily passed the tests of his village, and acquired C-Rank shortly after he began training to become a shinobi, becoming one of the youngest ninjas in the desert lands.
Even though they had a small amount of water in Athra, Ryo was fascinated with the substance, and attempted to master water style jutsu with the village’s reservoirs, but he was condemned. Once the clan found out, he was punished for using the little water the village had recklessly. His clan head structured his training under a strict watch, and forced him to learn the Uchiha clan’s fire style, as well as earth style from some of the other ninja, but Ryo couldn’t help but wonder what learning water style was like. Nobody in Athra could use water style effectively, much less in combat. Ryo knew that one day, he would master that style.
After a few years of relentless, 3 to be exact, Ryo became quite good as using both fire and earth style jutsu, even during spars between other tribe members. At age 12, Ryo could use both elements interchangeably, and had attained status as a B-Rank ninja. At this stage, he began to try to use both styles in two different jutsu at the same time, until the Uchiha clan leader pulled him aside and told him of his famous lineage. Ryo was now informed that he was not an official blood member of the Uchiha clan, and that he would never awaken the Sharingan that the other members had. Instead he had a different bloodline, one that was rich with the use of ‘different’ elements, as his clan head had told him. He reached out a book from one of the shelves in the clan center and gave it to Ryo. Ryo had learned that this book was the only thing the travelers dropped off.
Ryo left the building and walked out through Athra to a remote hiding spot he had found when he was younger. He ran out in between two of the large clay buildings, and climbed up onto the roof of the larger clay building. Once there, he began to tear apart the book, figuratively. He discovered his full name was Ryo Terumi, of the Terumi blood line, and that the clan had been scattered across the various villages, and often adopted into other lineages across the tribes. However, it did explain why Ryo was so good with elemental releases, as it was a portion of the rich Terumi bloodline. Finally Ryo was able to discover the mystery of his bloodline, it revealed that members of the bloodline could use Lava and Boil styles by mixing their elements and using them at the same time.
Ryo returned back to his adopted clan of the Uchiha, forgave the clan head for hiding these secrets from him for so long, and returned to another two years of training. After long and hard years, Ryo was now 14, had the skills of an A-Rank ninja, unfortunately without the rank, and awakened his ability to use Lava style, a combination of his fire and earth abilities. As excited as he was, he knew the clan still had an advanced style that he could learn, and unfortunately, he couldn’t find a teacher anywhere in the village of Athra to teach him water style techniques. He approached his clan leader with a radical plan, to leave in search of a water style sensei in another village. His clan leader thought he was crazy, but he knew that Ryo could not be swayed, and allowed him to leave the village in search of another sensei.
It took a month of awful living conditions throughout the desert wasteland before Ryo was able to even see the green of organic material. The environment drastically changed as he continued on his quest, changing from desert sand, open meadows, to dense forests. As he traveled through the forest however, he encountered some resistance. As he walked, a gentle mist began to cloud his vision, and eventually, this mist became extremely thick, almost impossible to see through. As he was trying to find his way, he stood straight up. A kunai found its way along his neck, and its wielder was a skilled shinobi. “What are you doing here?” he heard her yell. Ryo panicked, and explained the reasons for his journey, his longing to learn water style to bring water to the people of the desert.
Fortunately for Ryo, that shinobi did know water style, and was kind-hearted. For two years, Ryo spent his life living among the trees in a hideout as this shinobi taught him water style in between her missions. Although Ryo did not know much about her, he did catch her name, Sameonna Amagiri. With her help, Ryo became extremely skilled, being able to produce a plethora of water from his own chakra. He was grateful for Sameonna-sensei’s teachings, and he couldn’t wait to return to the desert. After there last training, he thanked Sameonna for her teachings, and promised they would meet again as tribe leaders.
Ryo traveled across the forest, open clear meadows, and ranging sand dunes once again, but this time he did it much slower. He took much more breaks now that he knew water style, and began to practice it even more, trying to augment it with his other styles. By the time he had started into the sands, Ryo had begun to create even more water on his own, and he started to use it with his fire style. He released a large mist from his mouth, and it began to eat away some of the small plants and cactuses that spotted the desert sands. Ryo had finally done it, he had awakened his Boil style.
After his eighteenth birthday, he returned to a weathered Athra. It’s people had begun to lose hope, the recent drought effecting them greatly. Ryo arrived at just the right time, using his earth style to dig a small trench, his lava style to create a sealed layer, and created a plethora of water using his chakra. Instantly people began to flock towards the water, revitalized and with a new life after finally having more than drops of water in a well. Shortly after, he was recommended by the Uchiha clan head to take over as the village leader, and he assumed the position the day after.
As village leader, Ryo took a much different style. He tried to tone down the violence of the shinobi training program, while still emphasizing no fear of battle. He aimed to recreate Athra as I paradise, and hoped to train more clans the basics of water style in order to keep the village’s thirst quenched. Finally, he hoped to expand Athra to be the greatest market, for not only products, but ninja as well. He’s worked for better relations between the tribes, and hopes to one day stop the reckless wars that the tribes have experienced.
Role Play Sample:- Spoiler:
(OOC: This is a sample from another RP I am a part of.) While the large toad began to walk away, and the sun began to set around Mount Myoboku, Takuya did not give up his training. As the toad began to leave the area, Takuya tried again, but this time he had a better idea. He laid flat on his stomach, with his hands touching the golden mountain, and began to focus his chakra into his hands. He took a few moments before trying to work his hands up the first part of the mountain, as with great difficulty. Takuya had to resist the great strain in his arms as gravity tugged on the rest of his body, but his entire body was off the ground now, as he slowly placed one hand above the other and made his way up the golden mountain.
Takuya knew the large toad didn’t believe in him, but he wasn’t ready to give up. He chose being a ninja or the safety of an easy life because of the adventure and the grit. As soon as he became a ninja, he felt needed by his village, and he sought to become stronger because of it. His parent believed in him, his fellow ninja believed in him, and he wouldn’t give up now. His hands soon worked their way up the side of the horn, and the high he got, the more is body became more parallel. Gravity soon began to help him more than it hurt as he cleared almost half of the mountain now.
Hand after hand, Takuya’s efforts became more visible, he was just about to reach the top of the mountain. His strength began to fail him, but he would not give up so close to his goal. He quickly followed hand after hand until he had reached the top of the golden peak. After making it to the large flat space on the top, he flipped over on to his back and looked up at the sky, tired from the intense training he had just finished.
As Takuya looked to the stars he wondered about his new friends who had helped him become stronger, the toads. At first he was quite disappointed, slowly realizing that the affinity for his summoning were these oily amphibians, and not something more practical. After spending a lot of time at Mount Myoboku, he grew a new appreciation for the toads. He just hoped if this really was his affinity, he could find a good group of toads who he could call into battle to aid him.
Takuya slowly drifted into sleep that night on top of the golden mountain. He thought about climbing down, but wanted to prove his point that he made it to the top. As the sun came up over the horizon and into the valley, the large toad came back to check up on Takuya. Takuya was hoping to sleep in a bit, since he spent most of the night trying to climb up the mountain, but the loud toad woke him up when he croaked, “Takuya, did you give up?” Takuya opened his eyes and sat on the edge, looking down at the toad, “I’m up here!” he laughed. “You think I gave up now?”
The toad smiled, as did Takuya. “Well come on down, the big geezer will want to talk to you after you completed your training!” the toad yelled. Takuya decided he was right, and leaped off of the golden mountain into the pond where his training had begun. He quickly dried himself off, waved the toad goodbye, and approached the large steps. This time he took his time, especially since his whole body felt tired after last night. He walked in to the large temple to speak with the Great Toad Sage once again. The old toad looked as if he hadn’t moved, with his hat and tassels resting in the same position as Takuya remembered.
“Have you completed your training?” the old toad croaked. “I have,” Takuya replied. “Takuya, let me tell you something. The toads have been quite the summoning clan decades ago, but the toads haven’t had a ninja sign the summoning contract in years.” Takuya thought he saw the old geezer get a little misty eyed. “The Summoning Jutsu led you here to Mount Myoboku, which means the toads are your affinity for summoning, but the world is always full of choices.” He motioned to a few other toads that carried in a massive scroll.
This scroll was at least two feet tall, and was as wide as a tree trunk. Fortunate for Takuya, this scroll was in some kind of holder with straps, which made up for its massive size. As the toads brought the scroll towards Takuya, he wondered what this scroll was for. “What is this scroll for?” he questioned. The old toad adjusted himself in his chair, which was the first time Takuya had seen the geezer toad move.
“This is the summoning contract for the toads here. Once you sign your name and place your fingers on the scroll, using your blood, you’ll be able to start summoning the toads that reside here. As I said before, I can’t make choices for you Takuya. If you don’t sign it, hopefully someone else will in the Leaf village.” Takuya slung the giant scroll over his back, resting horizontally in along his lower back, and thanked the Toad Sage. Unfortunately, the Toad Sage made it extremely hard on Takuya earlier case, and he would have to consider the toads as being good partners in battle.
As Takuya approached the stairs, he wondered for a second, and then turned around, “Toad Sage, how do I return back to Konoha?” The elderly toad couldn’t help but laugh for a moment before he responded, “How did you get here Takuya?” Takuya placed his hands together, focused his chakra, wove the hand seals, and yelled, “Summoning Jutsu!”
As he looked around, all of the toads, the ponds, the mountains, the geysers and springs, were all replaced by the comfort of the forest. Takuya took his hand off of the cool grass as the sun shined through into the same clearing. As he stood up, he felt the weight of the scroll resist him, making it more difficult than usual. Takuya knew that he was entrusted by the Toad Sage to keep this scroll safe, and with that, he returned to his home in Konoha, feeling stronger than ever before. With his new training with the toads, Takuya felt like a summoning master after mastering the basics.

Appearance/Clothing. Ryo has short, navy hair, that frames his slightly tan skin.
Personality: Ryo in most situations is lighthearted and carefree, which contrasts heavily with his tribe's mentality. If this is where youre stopping, expect to not even get D rank. I put history and roleplay count on the app to see who neglects the things that do matter in my eyes. Besides I'm not having Athra ruled by someone who is 'laid back'. | |
